SATURN-Zentren in der Ukraine
Objectives of SATURN
The SATURN project’s objectives include the accompanied return of illegal Ukrainian immigrants into their country of origin and to assist them there with a substantial initial aid to facilitate their reintegration. Parallel to a counselling process the refugees’ residence permit status shall be legalized. If the persons concerned come forward voluntarily they gain the possibility to take money and personal property back home.
Additionally, the returnees can apply for return assistance programs of REAG/GARP. The REAG/GARP program is a humanitarian relief program (REAG = Reintegration and Emigration Programme for Asylum-Seekers in Germany; GARP= Government Assisted Repatriation Programme) that supports the voluntary return.
Heimatgarten builds a migration centre in Odessa and organises contact addresses in other towns as well as a network of migration helpers to support the returnees individually to make an independent and successful living possible for them.
Additionally, a training course “migration” for social workers will be developed.
Therefore, this EU project is also planed as a direly needed area of development for differentiated and solution-oriented processes.
